Golden Gaming Announces New, Expanded Roles for Golden Route Operations Key Executives
LAS VEGAS – Jan. 28, 2012 – Golden Gaming, LLC (Golden Gaming) today announced three executive promotions reflective of the company’s commitment to build and maintain a strong and dynamic management team for its slot route division, Golden Route Operations (GRO). The executives are Jay Fennel, Blake Sartini II and Lorenzo Sartini.
“GRO’s business is expanding. Along with attracting exceptional talent from outside the company, one of my top priorities is growing GRO’s existing leadership team,” said Blake Sartini, chief executive officer of Golden Gaming. “These dynamic leaders have the vision, the values and the passion to help lead our company into the future. The new appointments are a result of their abilities to think strategically, the respect they’ve earned from their peers and our partners, and their significant contributions to the company.”
The executive promotions are as follows:
Jay Fennel, vice president of gaming development and technology. Fennel, who joined Golden Gaming in February of 2012 as VP of system technology and gaming development, is responsible for all technology development, information technologies, game and system deployment, and game and system service.
Blake Sartini II, director of operations. Sartini, previously the assistant director of operations, is responsible for all day-to-day chain store operations, dispatch, collection/fill teams and regional sales representatives.
Lorenzo Sartini, regional sales manager. Sartini is responsible for all regional sales representatives. He and his team serve as GRO’s liaison with third party route locations.
Originally founded in 1986 as Southwest Services, GRO is a licensed, established local route operator of gaming devices for bars, taverns, truck stops, convenience stores, and grocery chains. As of March 1, 2012, GRO is Nevada’s largest slot route operator with more than 8,500 machines in approximately 650 locations throughout the state. In May of 2012, GRO announced the first ever player rewards program specifically geared toward the grocery store gamer. The program is located in more than 110 locations statewide including Albertsons, Smith’s, Vons, and Safeway. In September of 2012, GRO announced a significant commitment to IGT, the gaming industry’s leading manufacturer of gaming machines.
